The conservative “Alternative für Deutschland” group in the German Federal Diet has requested the German government to state clearly that the use of ESF+ funds to fund abortions would not be in line with the purposes of the fund.
Hated by the German political establishment and mass media, Alternative für Deutschland is set to overtake the Christian Democrat Union (CDU, the party of Helmut Kohl, Angela Merkel and Ursula von der Leyen) in all opinion polls, which makes it Germany’s leading party.
