What contrasting images are reaching us from France these days! On the one hand: chaos, devastation, aggression – so-called ‘student protests’, which in reality seem to represent a deliberate attempt by a coalition of communists and Islamists to spark a full-blown civil war. On the other hand, the images of a papal visit that turned into a massive triumphal procession on a scale that nobody could have anticipated: 800,000 people who completely filled the Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Élysées to join in celebrating the largest Holy Mass in the history of France, and who bear eloquent witness to the fact that the true France – the one founded on Christian and Western values – is still alive. It is not only alive, but it is young, strong, gathering its strength, and returning to its Christian roots, which have made it great.

Huge win for World Youth Alliance: Commission accepts that chastity, honesty, and other virtues are not “contrary to EU values”
The international pro-life youth organization World Youth Alliance has won an important victory over the EU bureaucracy, forcing the European Commission to admit that teaching chastity and other virtues to young people is not, as they had alleged, “contrary to European values”. As a consequence, funding of the EYA under the European CERV programme will resume, despite protests from radical leftwing MEPs.

Legal innovation often comes from the USA and reaches Europe some years later…
Lifenews.com reports that in the US State of New Mexico, an aborted baby has won a wrongful death lawsuit settlement against the abortionist who killed him or her.
The estate of a 26-week-old aborted child has collected $200,000 in a New Mexico wrongful-death settlement, in what attorneys on the case call the first payout of this kind to an aborted baby treated as a person under state law.

Pro-abortion Commissioner Hadja Lahbib thought she was “smart” when she announced that the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) could be used by Member States to finance abortions. But now it turns out that that wasn’t such a smart move. MEPs keep asking questions about the European Commission’s controversial sweetheart reply to the pro-abortion ECI “My Voice, My Choice” and the implicit claim that abortion – the deliberate killing of a healthy child inside the womb of a healthy woman – can be qualified as healthcare.

By 13 votes to 12, the Liechtenstein Parliament has voted in favour of liberalising abortion laws – and has adopted a popular initiative on the so-called ‘time-limit solution’. Until now, abortions in Liechtenstein have been virtually completely banned: the only exception is for abortions performed by doctors where the pregnant woman’s health is at serious risk.
However, the law is unlikely to come into force.
This is because the Prince of Liechtenstein must approve the substance of all legislative decisions – and Crown Prince Alois, who has been entrusted with the affairs of government since 2004, has already announced his intention to exercise his right of veto.

If abortion qualifies as “healthcare” and can be funded under the ESF+ as per the European Commission’s controversial response to the pro-abortion ECI “My Voice, My Choice”, then European taxpayers could soon have to foot the bill for many other controversial practices.
In September 2026, the Dutch government’s euthanasia review committee confirmed a milestone few outside medical-ethics circles had been tracking closely: the first case of euthanasia performed on a child under 12 since the Netherlands changed its law in 2024 to permit it “under very strict conditions.” The patient was a child of nearly two who suffered from several severe medical conditions, including severe cerebral palsy, a visual impairment, and frequent epileptic seizures largely unresponsive to medication. The committee concluded the doctor had acted with due care.

International law is made by the consensus of sovereign states. Thus, if 43 Member States of the UN jointly publish a declaration that “there is no international right to abortion, nor any international obligation on the part of States to finance or facilitate abortion”, then it is so – irrespective of what UN bureaucrats, some ideologically misguided academics, the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency, the European Commission, George Soros, Melinda Gates, or whoever else may tell you.
From the EU, the signatories include Hungary and Poland.

(From en.lamilano.it)
To show the beginning of human life, from fertilization, and its development in the mother’s womb until birth, so that “those who must legislate can first see and experience firsthand what science demonstrates.” This is the goal of the exhibition “Just EUman – How a European Citizen Is Born,” which opened today at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, in the Emilio Colombo Space of the Weiss Building. The exhibition was promoted by MEP Paolo Inselvini (ECR) and curated by Pro Vita & Famiglia. Among those attending the event were MEPs Carlo Fidanza, Nicola Procaccini, Mariateresa Vivaldini, Sergio Berlato, Marion Maréchal Le Pen, Margarita de la Pisa Carrión, and Elisabeth Dieringer-Granza.

It has been just under a month since the surrogacy scandal involving Jens Spahn (the man on the right in the image), once the powerful parliamentary group leader of the CDU/CSU, plunged the German Federal Government into a crisis from which it seems unable to extricate itself. But the scandal does have its good side – suddenly there is a debate about surrogacy in Germany.

The linguistic confusion surrounding ‘new rights’ and a reversal of reason lie at the heart of the crisis facing the West, which has lost sight of the meaning of its own civilisation.
